WHO WE ARE: We are a group of dedicated volunteers who direct our efforts at three fundamental areas: to increase adoption and to decrease euthanasia, to reduce pet overpopulation, and to enhance the quality of life for our animals by providing medical care beyond the shelter’s ability, by socializing the animals and by improving the shelter environment. These pets have been at the shelter the longest and are in urgent need of homes. They are still fine pets at this time but are at a higher risk of deterioration as length of stay may take its toll on their physical and/or psychological well being. They are STILL looking for a loving forever home. Please consider giving one of them a chance to win your heart! Help The Friends of New Haven Animal Shelter win a $10,000 grant!
Vote for us at www.theanimalrescuesite.com and we could win $10,000 to help pets in need.
The Animal Rescue Site is hosting a special challenge for eligible Petfinder.com member shelter and rescue groups. The grand prize is a $10,000 grant, and they will be awarding many other grants to rescue groups with the most votes — a total of $100,000 in grants for animal welfare organizations.
Just click once a day every day from January 18th to April 18th. There are weekly winners in addition to the grand prize total. You can check for weekly winners at the animal rescue site. While you are there click to give bowls of food to animals. It’s all free!
